This is a series of photographs that are inspired by the compositional technique in Japanese gardens called Shakkei. It’s a compostechnique where the foreground is juxtaposed against the view in the background. The photographs were taken over a few years and on different places around the world. The pictures were photographed with Polaroid negative film to add an element of chance in the development and to use the negatives' frames to emphasize the composition.
